Consultancy

I'm an independant consultant trading under the company name of Rosewood Software Services Limited.

I've been working with distributed technologies since 1991 in a number of industries including government, retail, telecommunications. In 1998/1999 I was involved in architecting an eBusiness solution for an ERP software company. As part of this work I came across the draft EJB specification and since that time I've been architecting, designing and implementing J2EE based systems. In 2001 I formed a partnership with BEA and became an independant consultant. I've worked on a number of high profile, high volume sites which have used the BEA technology set. Typically I'll engage with the development team and mentor them in how to architect and design the system using current best practices.

In late 2001 I also formed a partnership with Rational Software to leverage my experience in software design. In doing so I passed the Rational certification in their process, OOAD and their toolset. I've had a number of engagements where I've mentored companies in their tailoring of RUP to their requirements as well as mentoring development teams in component design.
